HEY

...Is for horses. Something my step-grandpa used to say.

Chirap is forcing another post out of me. While talking to me and distracting me.

Ended up getting the PlayStation 3 after all, which is one of the main reasons there's been no updates in nearly two months. Just started the GameFly game rental service, and it's rarely turned off nowadays. The Blu-ray tech is really sharp and Bluetooth controllers are liberating. The gaming media bias has shifted toward Xbox, so 'get the Xbox version' or 'I already played it on Xbox last month' is common. A lot of people don't have said system, but see the slant; it's a catch 22 of support for other systems, as was seen last generation with the PlayStation 2. Nintendo's disfigured bastard child is self-proportedly cast in a separate and self-serving light of false innovation, gimmick and momentary novelty; 'it's not in the race, and it's cheap, so get one' they fawn.

'Bite me' is my only retort.

Nintendo is dead to me, and can burn in the fires so intense that only Microsoft may call them home. And thus they do in a fashion only described as sodomy by firehose by earnestly wrinkled, homophobic white males.

Also been ill lately. Mini-Monkey is the source, or at least the checkpoint, for my own illnesses; hers is more obvious despite her inhibition of speech, and usually predates my own sickness. Kiska typically remains healthy enough. Conspiracy is in question between the two.

Also gots a new puppy. She's a black lab mix named 'Jillie,' a stray whom the animal shelter supposed to be about a year old. She appears to have puppies of her own, and her mix--under the assumption there is one--remains a mystery. Mostly behaved, she responds well to command and is nearly housetrained. Didn't really want to mention her more widely until we were certain of her capacity to be comfortable and happy. Thus it seems true. Pintsize loves her, and the latter shares a fond tolerance for the former.

While my machine is out of commission due to XP being the most superfluously scrumdiddly-umptious waste of fucking space ever, I hardly can say I miss it. What little computing I need can be done on Kiska's machine, as FFXI is a tune we have little to no time or energy to play (hers is more tricked out anyway). I hardly miss it; personal reasons made be begin to resent being on and I got little enjoyment out of paying monthly for it.

Gave Lord of the Rings Online a shot, but found it superficial and WoW in a slightly different shade of green, albeit with a naturally more interesting story. The latest Guild Wars expansion sounds interesting, as does Warhammer Online (THQ just announced a Wahammer:40k MMO, definitely going to cling to every bit of news for that). Those aren't really gaming, though. They're a lifestyle choice, and consoles fit my choice better for now.

Depression still lingers and frustrates me at its unprecedented length, but it's infinitely easier to deal with with Kiska being closer and us making more time for eachother.

Updates to come in greater frequency, with hope. Will work on conclusive statements and/or thoughts.
